Our story

escapada was founded by Zoe and Ernesto, two contrasting perspectives united by a shared belief that travel should restore, not exhaust.

​

Zoe, an avid traveller for decades, multi-day challenge hiker, and trail runner, has long found clarity in movement and nature—but the pace of working within the travel industry led to imbalance, revealing a deeper truth: movement is best paired with presence and restoration.

​

Ernesto, originally from Cuba, brings a different lens—shaped by a culture rich in music, colour, and human connection, where wellbeing is rooted in simplicity, community, and living in the moment.

​

Together, they discovered the power of combining movement, nature, and connection as a complete experience—one that energises the body, calms the mind, and reconnects you to what matters.

 

escapada was born from this idea: a new kind of escape designed to help you push or pause at your own pace, and return feeling renewed.
