October is one of the best times to explore Nepal and Bhutan, with clear skies, comfortable temperatures and excellent mountain visibility following the monsoon season. In Kathmandu, expect temperatures around 65–75°F during the day, while Bhutan’s valleys are generally cooler, with temperatures around 55–70°F depending on altitude. Higher mountain trails will be cooler, especially in the mornings and evenings, so come prepared with layers, a warm jacket and a waterproof jacket
