Your booking is confirmed and a contract exists between us when you receive receipt of both registration and payment.

You are required to pay a deposit of $500 USD per person per trip for your booking to be confirmed. If your booking is made within 90 days of departure then the full amount is due at the time of booking.
Final payments
Payment of the balance of the trip price is due 90 days before the departure date. Though we will make every attempt to remind you of the due date, if this balance is not paid on or before the due date we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled and your deposit would be forfeited.
Payment methods and currency
All prices are quoted in USD unless otherwise stated. We accept payment by major debit and credit cards. Payments are made directly on our website. Card payments may incur a processing fee applied by the bank which will be disclosed at checkout.

Necessary details include but are not limited to your full name as per passport, date of birth, running history, dietary requirements and any pre-existing medical conditions you have which may affect your ability to participate in an escapada trip. Participants who were registered by someone else are responsible for providing this information to escapada. Failure to provide requested details may result in additional charges or non-refundable cancellation of your trip.
You must disclose any pre-existing medical conditions which may impact your ability to travel, participate in a running trip, visit remote areas or which may adversely affect the experience of others in the group. escapada reserves the right to deny you permission to travel or participate in any aspect of a trip at any time and at your own risk and expense where escapada determines that your physical or mental condition renders you unfit for travel or you represent a danger to yourself or others. escapada does not provide medical advice. You should consult your physician to confirm your fitness for travel, participation in any planned activities and for advice on vaccinations and medical precautions. It is your responsibility to assess the risks and requirements of each aspect of the trip based on your own circumstances, limitations, fitness level and medical requirements.

Inclusions & exclusions
See FAQ’s for detailed inclusions and exclusions.
Age requirements
Minimum Age: Our trips are intended as adult trips, though exceptions may be made for certain trips for travelers under the age of 18 (minor) who are capable runners and comfortable in an adult environment. escapada reserves the right to approve or deny a spot to a minor. All travelers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian who will be responsible for the minor’s day to day care.
Maximum Age:
We have no maximum age limit though our trips are physically active and participants must ensure that you are capable of participating fully and safely. It is your responsibility to obtain proper and detailed medical advice prior to travel for the latest health requirements and recommendations for your destination.
Group sizes
Generally escapada trips are ‘small group tours’. The maximum group size would be mid 30’s and minimum 20.
Country entry requirements & vaccinations
You are responsible for obtaining and complying with all passport, visa, vaccination, permits and certificates, and entry requirements for the countries you will visit during your trip. Your passport must be valid for 6 months beyond the duration of the trip, or for the length of time specified by your country. We are not responsible if you are refused entry to a country because you lack the correct passport, visa or other travel documentation.
Travel insurance
Travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, medical expenses, emergency evacuation, and repatriation or a signed waiver declining coverage is mandatory for all travelers. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel protection plans and travel cancellation insurance. You must provide proof of travel insurance or a signed waiver declining coverage prior to the trip start date or you will not be permitted to participate.
Force Majeure / Unforceable events
If the trip is canceled, delayed, shortened, or altered due to events beyond our control — including but not limited to severe weather, wildfires, natural disasters, pandemics, political unrest, strikes, airline cancellations, or government restrictions — refunds will be issued minus any unrecoverable costs already paid to suppliers on your behalf. No additional compensation will be provided.
Changes to itinerary
escapada reserves the right to make itinerary adjustments when necessary if we deem a scheduled run, activity or destination unsafe due to weather conditions, supplier alterations, or other local conditions. No refunds will be issued for required itinerary adjustments.
Optional activities
Optional activities not included in the trip price do not form part of the trip or this contract. You accept that any assistance given by your guides in arranging optional activities does not render us liable for them in any way. The contract for the provision of that activity will be between you and the activity provider.
Authority on trip
Our trips are run by at least one and typically two experienced group leaders with one serving as the Chief Guide . The decision of the Chief Guide is final on all matters related to the safety or well-being of all trip participants. If you fail to comply with a guide’s reasonable instruction, or engage in behavior that endangers others or disrupts the well-being of the group, the Chief Guide may direct you to leave the trip immediately at your own expense, and without refund. You must, at all times, comply with the laws, customs, foreign exchange and drug regulations of all countries visited. escapada reserves the right to expel any participant whose behavior is unlawful, abusive, or significantly disruptive.
Acceptance of risk
You acknowledge that the nature of the trip is active and participation involves a degree of personal risk and physical fitness capabilities. You may be visiting places where politics, culture and geography present dangers and physical challenges greater than those present in your daily life. We take all current and recommended precautions and safety measures related to the COVID-19 virus, but cannot guarantee an exposure-free environment. We use information from the US State Department in assessing whether the itinerary should operate but it is also your own responsibility to acquaint yourself with all relevant travel information and the nature of your itinerary.
Photos & marketing
By booking, you grant escapada a royalty-free license to use images or videos taken of you during the trip for advertising and promotional purposes, both in print and digital mediums. If you do not wish to be photographed or have your image used, notify our team prior to departure; we will make reasonable efforts to honor your request.
Privacy policy
Any personal information that we collect about you may be used for any purpose associated with the operation of a trip or to send you marketing material in relation to our trips, events or news. Your details otherwise will not be disclosed nor sold to any third-party.
Disclaimers/statements of responsibility
We contract with a network of companies and individuals to assist in the running of our trips. Because escapada does not maintain any control over the personnel, equipment, or operations of these suppliers, we assume no responsibility for and cannot be held liable for any personal injury, death, property damage, or other loss, accident, delay, inconvenience, or irregularity which may be occasioned by reason of (1) any wrongful, negligent, willful, or unauthorized acts or omissions on the part of any of the tour suppliers, or other employees or agents, (2) any defect in or failure of any vehicle, equipment, instrument owned, operated or otherwise by any of these suppliers, or (3) any wrongful, willful, or negligent act or omissions on any part of any other party not under the supervision or control of the Operator.
